For Arts' Sake…

The Park Rapids Lakes Area Arts Council (PRLAAC) was organized in 2005 "to promote excellence in the arts through creation, education and performance. In 2011, PRLAAC partnered with the City of Park Rapids in earning the Region 2 Arts Council's "Arts Community Designation." In 2019 our name was changed to "Heartland Arts."

"Heartland Arts" serves as an umbrella organization for 20 arts and cultural organizations in the greater Park Rapids area. Representatives from these arts groups, along with individual arts project champions, meet monthly to coordinate arts calendars, share information and incubate interest in new arts projects.
